Govatsa Dwadashi is the festival celebrated on the Dwadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. This year it is Thursday, 25 October. On this day, cow-calves are worshiped to express gratitude to the mother mother of Satvaguni, who follows others with her, who nourishes the entire creation. गोवत्स द्वादशी कार्तिक मास के कृष्णपक्ष की द्वादशी तिथि को मनाया जाने वाला वह पर्व है। इस साल यह 25 अक्टूबर, गुरुवार के दिन हैं। इस दिन सत्वगुणी, अपने सानिध्य से दूसरों का पालन करने वाली, सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि को पोषण प्रदान करने वाली गाय माता के प्रति कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करने हेतु गाय-बछड़ों का पूजन किया जाता है। आचार्य अजय द्विवेदी जी ने गोवत्स द्वादशी की पूजा विधि और महत्त्व के बारे में विस्तार से बताया है ।
